You won't be disappointed with Sir Thomas Beecham and his great London Philharmonic Orchestra.  Apart from Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5 in D 'Reformation', this CD from Biddulph, with all music recorded in 1945, also includes Rimsky-Korsakov's Overture to 'May Night'; Berlioz's Royal Hunt and Storm and Trojan March from his tour de force Les Troyens; Tchaikovsky's Waltz and Polonaise from Eugene Onegin.   A CD belongs to the Golden Age of the Gods .... Oh yes, I forgot to mention, Borodin's Overture to 'Prince Igor'.
